CNC Punching

Metal fabrication isn’t a one size fits all industry. At Trufab, we provide a range of different services to ensure our clients’ needs are always met.

This includes CNC punching services, provided by our skilled and expert team, who use years of specialist knowledge to execute the service using state-of-the-art technology to meet the highest standards.

What is CNC Punching?

CNC punching machinery works by punching holes into various types of sheet metal. This manufacturing process is an alternative solution to laser cutting.

Programmed using a computer, the machine moves the metal to position it under the punching ram, which is what is used to create holes or indent forms into the sheet metal, ready for the hole or indent to be made.

Created through shearing in the metal, this force tool offers high levels of precision and accuracy to deliver an efficient finish. Providing shapes as simple as circles and rectangles to ones more specific to your needs, these cleanly edged shapes can be made in materials of varying thickness.

Metals CNC punching services can be used on include:

  • Aluminium
  • Steel
  • Stainless steel
  • Zintec
  • And more…
